Private business and leadership advisory for female expert founders navigating the next stage of growth.
You need to see what is actually limiting the business now, decide what needs to change and work through that change with someone who can look at both the business and your role inside it.
What worked when you were trying to get your first consistent clients may become completely irrelevant once demand is established.
What worked when you delivered everything yourself starts causing problems when you add contractors, employees or a team.
And decisions that used to be simple get harder when more revenue, people and responsibility sit behind them.
Before deciding what to change, we need to understand what is actually happening. That's where Private Advisory starts.
This is why more business advice isn't always useful:
They're not packages. They're different sets of problems that tend to appear as the business develops. You may sit clearly in one. You may have issues across all three. You don't need to work that out before we speak.
You know you're good at what you do, but the business around your expertise still isn't as consistent as it needs to be. You're putting in the work — the pieces just aren't working together consistently yet. The focus is getting the fundamentals working before adding more.
Positioning & messaging, core offer, offer structure, market validation, client acquisition, sales, customer journey, business model, where your attention needs to go.
The business works. People buy. But growth is starting to create pressure — important work still waits for your approval, and you hired people to create capacity and somehow ended up managing more. A business isn't scalable because revenue increased; it has to grow without every bit of growth creating another job for you.
Business model design, capacity, delivery, offer simplification, systems, team structure, delegation, decision ownership, founder dependency, revenue quality.
At some point, being excellent at your expertise stops being the whole job. Other people now depend on your decisions, direction, communication and standards — and leading them can feel very different from doing the work yourself. You don't need a huge company before leadership becomes part of the job.
Role clarity, authority, delegation, boundaries, decision-making, conflict, difficult conversations, team dynamics, responsibility, founder identity.
I don't look at your business and automatically decide you need better marketing, another hire, more systems or a different mindset. We work out what's driving the problem first — because the first explanation isn't always the right one.
Private Advisory is diagnostic before it is prescriptive. We find the constraint. Then we work there.
You can change the strategy and still keep recreating the same problem. You can hire capable people and continue answering every important question yourself.
You can build a new process and ignore it the second something feels urgent.
You can say you want the team to take ownership while continuing to make every decision for them.
You can know a conversation needs to happen and keep moving it to next week.
This is why I don't separate business strategy from founder development. Your role, behaviour, decisions, boundaries and relationship with authority affect how the business operates.
Sometimes the answer is commercial. Sometimes it's structural. Sometimes the business itself is fine and your role inside it needs to change. Often we're dealing with more than one at once.
Depending on the situation, our work may draw on business strategy, systems thinking, organisational development, leadership psychology and action learning. The aim is practical. Something should change inside the actual business because of the conversation.
The exact scope depends on what is happening in your business and the level of support the work requires.
This is a free conversation where we look at the business as it stands today. I'll ask about what's working, what has changed, where things are getting stuck and what you've already tried — and give you my initial perspective on where I believe the work needs to focus. You don't need to arrive knowing whether you're in Build, Scale or Lead; part of my job is helping you see that. If I believe Private Advisory is the right fit, I'll recommend a scope of engagement and talk you through the investment.
Once we decide to work together, our first paid session is a deeper diagnostic. We step back from the immediate issue and look at what is happening across the business, your role, the team and the wider system. From there, we identify the core constraint and set the focus for our work.
Our advisory sessions are built around what's happening in the business in real time. We think, challenge assumptions and make decisions — then you take those decisions back into the business: change an offer, redesign a role, have a conversation, hand over responsibility, test a different approach, stop doing something that no longer makes sense. Then we look at what happened and decide what comes next.
At the end of the engagement, we look at what changed, what you've learned and what still needs attention. You'll leave with a focused plan for the following 90 days, so you know what needs to happen after our work together.
We work with the business you actually have. That means the priorities can change. A problem we expected to spend six weeks on may become clear quickly. Something that looked minor may turn out to be affecting half the business. A decision you make in week two may change what we need to discuss in week four. That's part of the work.
We observe what is happening.
Understand it.
Decide.
Act.
See what happens.
Adjust.
I don't want every difficult decision ending with, "I need to ask Mia." I want you to get better at seeing what's happening inside your own business.
Private Advisory gives us room to work through the decisions while they're real. Not six months later in a case study. While you're actually making them.
You've built a business around your expertise and there is already something real for us to work with. You're past beginner business advice — you have clients, traction, a growing team, or a business that is changing quickly enough that the decisions are getting more complicated.
This work is for founders who want a thinking partner. Someone close enough to understand the business. And far enough away to see what you've stopped seeing.
I work with female expert founders across business strategy, growth, leadership development, psychology and systems thinking. I'm particularly interested in what happens when the business starts changing faster than the founder's role or the structure around her.
A business can be commercially successful and still be badly designed. A founder can have a team and still carry almost every important decision. Revenue can grow while capacity disappears. People can be working hard while nobody is clear on who owns what. And when you're inside the business every day, it can be difficult to see which problem actually needs solving first.
That's where I come in. I look at the relationship between the founder, the business, the team, the market and the wider system. Then we work on what matters.
Private engagements typically run for 6–12+ weeks. The exact scope — and the investment — depends on what is happening in your business and the level of support the work requires.
We don't start with the solution. We find the constraint. Then we work there.
Every Private Advisory engagement begins with a free Private Advisory Call, where we look at your business as it stands today. If I believe I can help, I'll tell you what I think the work should focus on, how long I'd recommend we work together, and what the investment would be.
You don't need to diagnose yourself before booking. You don't need a polished explanation of what's wrong. And you don't need to decide whether you're in Build, Scale or Lead.
Bring me the business as it stands today. Tell me what's working. Tell me what's changing. Tell me where things keep getting stuck. We'll look at it together.
